In the freedom of Nirvana, there are no emotional ups and downs, only undisturbed, deep quietude, expanded awareness and presence. It is the highest state of detachment in which the individual is freed from all the bonds of Karma. It is achieved when one is able to distinguish between spirit and matter. Abolishing desires and transcending Samsara, the cycle of birth and death, is the ultimate liberation, Nirvana. Its four characteristics are happiness, permanence, freedom and purity. The means of attaining it is the noble eightfold path (Arya-ashtanga-marga) laid down by the Buddha, which is the path to the cessation of suffering. The path consists of eight steps, which must be practised simultaneously. The eight steps are right vision (Samyag-drishti), right speech (Samyag-vak), right intention (Samyak-sankalpa), right conduct (Samyak-karmanta), right living (Samyag-ajiva), right aspiration (Samyag-vyayama), right inquiry (Samyak-smriti), and right contemplation (Samyag-samadhi). The mantras in this album help to achieve this goal.
I hope all of you will enjoy it. Attila Bakos
